Nestled in the southern coast of the Snaefellsnes peninsula, the Budir hotel is legendary in Iceland. Since its opening in 1947 it has been renowned for its cuisine. Fish and seafood make up most of the menu and the results are as fresh as it gets since they come from the neighbouring fishing port. The hotel has recently been rebuilt and flaunts typical Nordic architecture, giving it a discrete charm. The services are all top notch: spacious rooms, modern bathroom, Wifi...
A few footsteps away is a long beach of golden sand, very rare in Iceland!

This hotel, with its feet almost in the water, will give you the impression that you are on a boat. It is located in the centre of Flatey’s little village, in two restored historical homes. The decor and set-up have been designed to provide a turn of the century ambiance, when Flatey was still one of the region’s commercial centres. This hotel is known for its convivial feel that gives visitors a taste of a simpler life. With its unique location, comfortable rooms, authentic cooking, and warm common room that ivites conversation, you won’t forget your stay in Flatey’s little hotel any time soon!

The Glymur Hotel is located on the northern shore of the whale fjord. Settled at the flank of a cliff it offers a magnificent view of the fjord and the beautiful tabular mountains on the horizon. A modern hotel with all the comforts and methods of communication you’ll need. You can choose between the main building’s spacious rooms or among the villas disseminated throughout the surrounding nature (extra cost not included). Every villa is unique, with its own distinctive decor but they all have terraces complete with Jacuzzis!
