No need to go all the way to Antarctica to see icebergs! Iceland has lots of them. Jokulsarlon, a glacial lagoon on the island's Southern coast lies at the foot of Europe's biggest glacier, Vatnajoküll. A couple of hours from Reykjavik, this out of the ordinary destination is great for exploration year round. You can even take a mini-cruise between the icebergs and observe some snoozing seals. Finally, you’ll visit the nearby beach to watch enormous ice cubes finish melting on the black sand.
